This was a fun and easy card with popping color and a charming happy little butterfly. (The supply list and video for this card are at the bottom of this post ;D)
Isn't it so fun?! I used a standard 4 1/4 X 5 1/2 black card base to begin. Then a front and inside panel that measured 4 X 5 1/4 of white cardstock.
On the front panel I wet it down with a paint brush. This is standard 80lb cardstock so I wasn't too heavy handed. Then using my Kuretake Picture Letter Gansai Tanbi, 36 Color Set Watercolor Paint
I spritzed some water on the colors I'd planned on using with my distress sprayer and picked some colors up beginning with the red in rainbow order and "smeared" it across leaving the right side untouched.
I wanted it to have that loose watercolor feel for sure! Once that was all dry, I used my Tonic Studio Stamp Platform
and Versa Fine Black Onyx Ink to stamp the larger butterflies "flying" up the card panel.
The inside of the card was done the same way just lighter... so pretty!
The lightness of the paint and splatters made it easy to write a message!
