Fun Friday: Match Box Make a Card Kit

This project is one of my favorites! I used the Stars Framelits to create a window so you can see some of the fun contents which is a hand made card front! The combination of Old Olive, Basic Grey and Melon Mambo really made this "Make-a-Card Kit" stand above the rest I've done!

I used recycled chipboard from the bottom of my DSP (Designer Series Paper) to create the match box which measured a good 4"wide X 5"long X 2-1/4" tall. It's not tiny like ones I've made in the past with 3 X 3 cards.

You can see from the picture below that you just put your finger into the pull slot and slide out the drawer to access the goodies inside.

Sitting on top are ten 4-1/2 X 3-1/2 cards in two distincly different styles for any occasion. Under the ten cards are ten envelopes for those cards.

And under all of that lies a tray of goodness. Five sentiments, three coordinating decorative pieces, butterflies, flags and ribbon... all of which are stamped in either Old Olive, Basic Grey or Melon Mambo! The Designer Series Paper I used is called Typeset and it's so cool! It's like old book pages with the weight of bible pages which is thin and soft! You can see a strip just above the ribbon strips.

The stamp sets I used are the A Round Array stamp set and the Kinda Eclectic stamp set. The 7/8" Scallop Circle Punch and the Elegant Butterfly Punch fit perfectly for punching out these shapes. Below it a picture of a sample card I made from the kit. You can do so much with this kit!
